Business Tax Returns

Annual federal and state business tax return preparation with all required schedules, prepared by a CPA who spent years managing entity tax filings at scale. Whether your business is an S corporation, partnership, or LLC, your return gets done accurately and on time.

What We Prepare

Hunter Green CPA prepares annual federal and state business tax returns for medical business owners across the United States. This includes S corporations, partnerships, and LLCs, prepared with all required schedules and forms. Whether you have a straightforward single-state filing or something more involved, your return gets done right.

Mason Hunter, CPA, handles the preparation personally. For home care agencies, therapy practices, and med spas, the return reflects the specific structure of your business and captures everything the IRS and state tax authorities require.

S Corporations and Partnerships

Most medical businesses are structured as S corporations or partnerships. For S corporations, that means Form 1120-S with Schedule K-1s for each owner. For partnerships and multi-member LLCs, that means Form 1065. Each return includes all the supporting schedules your entity requires.

State Filings

If your business operates in multiple states or is registered in a state other than where you are located, you may have state return obligations beyond the federal level. Hunter Green CPA prepares state business returns as needed, tracking the requirements for each jurisdiction your business touches.

Why Depth Matters

Before starting Hunter Green CPA, Mason Hunter managed the tax department of a publicly traded company in Chicago. That role involved preparing, reviewing, and filing more than 200 entity returns across 35 to 40 jurisdictions every year. It was high-volume, detail-intensive work that required getting every return right.

That background brings something unusual to small business tax work. Seeing hundreds of returns across many entity types and states builds pattern recognition. When something looks off, Mason catches it. When a return needs a less common schedule or treatment, he has likely seen it before.

Clean Books Make Better Returns

A business tax return is only as strong as the books behind it. When the bookkeeping is clean and current, the return preparation is straightforward. When the books are disorganized, the return process slows down and the risk of errors goes up. If your books need work, the Bookkeeping and Tax Package bundles monthly bookkeeping with your annual returns.

Timelines and Extensions

S corporation and partnership returns are due March 15, a month before personal returns. If we need more time to get it right, we file an extension. Extensions are normal and carry no penalty. The goal is always accuracy over speed.

How It Fits Together

Your business return does not exist in isolation. For most small business owners, the business return produces a Schedule K-1 that flows directly to your personal tax return. When the same CPA prepares both, nothing falls through the cracks between the two filings.

Hunter Green CPA works with medical business owners who want more than a once-a-year filing. If you want your books and taxes handled by the same person all year, the Bookkeeping and Tax Package bundles everything for one monthly price. If you want to think ahead about structure and timing, Tax Strategy is where that work happens.

Personal Returns

Many business owners earn both W-2 clinical income and business income. Your personal tax return needs to account for both, and having one CPA who sees the whole picture avoids the mistakes that happen when business and personal preparers work separately.

Planning Ahead

Filing what happened last year is compliance work. Planning what happens next year is where real savings come from. Through Tax Strategy, we work on entity structure, timing of income and expenses, retirement contributions, and other decisions that affect your future tax bills.
