How much does it cost?

Monthly bookkeeping starts at $200. The Bookkeeping and Tax Package starts at $350 per month and includes bookkeeping, sales tax filings, and your annual business and personal tax returns. Standalone business returns start at $1,200 and personal returns start at $200. We review your situation and give you a fixed quote before work begins.

My books are behind. Can you help?

Yes. Catch-up work is a big part of what we do. We will assess how far behind you are and quote a project price to bring everything current and accurate. If you want ongoing service after that, we can move straight into monthly bookkeeping once the cleanup is done.

Is there a contract?

No long-term contract. Monthly services are month-to-month. You can cancel anytime if the service is no longer working for you.

How do I send you documents?

We use a secure portal for document uploads. We also use Bill.com for managing bills and payments. Both are simple to use, and we walk you through the setup during onboarding.

Do we need to meet in person?

No. We work with clients across the country, so everything happens remotely. Phone and video calls work well. We are based in Oak Park, Illinois if you happen to be local, but most clients never need to meet in person.

What software do you use?

We work in QuickBooks Online for bookkeeping. For payroll setup, we typically use Gusto. For bill payments and accounts payable, we use Bill.com. If you are not on these platforms yet, we will help you get set up.

What do I need to do each month?

Grant us access to your bank feeds and upload any receipts we cannot pull automatically. If something looks off, we may ask a question or two. That is it. Most clients spend 15 minutes or less on this each month.

Do you handle payroll?

We set up your payroll system and train you to run it yourself. We typically use Gusto. We configure withholdings, tax filings, and employee records correctly, then walk you through how to process payroll on your own with confidence. We do not provide ongoing payroll processing as a service.

Do you prepare tax returns?

Yes. We prepare and file business tax returns for S corporations, partnerships, and LLCs. We also prepare personal tax returns. When you work with us for both bookkeeping and taxes, everything is handled by the same CPA who knows your full picture.

I have multiple entities for my business. Can you handle that?

Yes. Multi-entity accounting is something we specialize in. For med spas and medical practices with management service agreements and sponsoring physician arrangements, we keep separate books for each entity and handle the intercompany activity correctly.

How soon can you start?

Usually within a week of our first call. If your books need cleanup, we start there. If they are current, we move straight into monthly service.
